Approved Membership Categories
The University Club has memberships available to the Faculty and Staff of NC State University, Alumni of the University, and Centennial Campus Employees. All categories are explained below.
Members are responsible for monthly dues of $102, monthly construction fee of $95 and a quarterly food minimum of $90. All incoming members are required to have automatic bank draft or monthly credit card draft.

NC State University Faculty & Staff Membership--- All full time faculty, part-time faculty, visiting faculty, adjunct faculty, EPA professionals, and regular SPA staff of NC State University. Any individual employed by a business located on Centennial Campus or by the Research Triangle Institute are included in this category. Persons who have retired from any of these positions are qualified for membership.

Alumni Membership---Alumni is defined as: 1) Any person who has received a degree from NC State University; 2) Any person who has been accepted and enrolled in a degree program at NC State and who successfully completed at least 9 semester hours at NC State University in the degree program; 3) Any person who attended NC State University and successfully completed at least 9 hours and who subsequently received a degree from another college or university.
Entrance Fee $1,500
Alumni who are members of the Alumni Association will receive a $40 reduction in their entrance fee. Members of the Wolfpack Club will receive a $120 reduction in thier entrance fee. A total reduction of $160 can be received if the joining alumni is a member of both organizations. (These reduction rates are the current minimum dues rates for the mentioned organizations and are subject to change)
Friends of the University---It is the policy of the Board of Directors that membership in the NC State University Club under the category “Friends of the University” should be granted only in exceptional cases and members of the NC State University Club under this category should not exceed 5% of the total membership of the Club. This category of membership is defined as follows: 1) Any person who has substantially contributed to the faculty at NC State University and the goals and missions of the University as a whole; 2) Any person whose family has substantially contributed to NCSU, provided such person has demonstrated his/her continued support of the faculty at NC State University and the goals and missions of the University as a whole. Determination as to whether an applicant qualifies for membership in the Club as a “Friend of the University” shall be made on a case-by-case basis and shall be determined in the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of the NC State University Club. Any favorable determination of an application for membership under this category, “Friends of the University,” requires a unanimous vote of approval by the Board of Directors, then present and voting. Additional requirements are: a) Payment of entrance fee, b) Regular monthly dues plus applicable minimum dining requirements.

Friends of the University Club -- For an individual or family to join the University Club under this category the following conditions must be met: 1) The individual or family must demonstrate a strong commitment and continued support to NC State University or the University Club. This commitment can be demonstrated in many ways and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Upon joining, the member and/or their family members will have full privileges to The Club and be subject to all the rules and policies that govern The Club. 2) Additional Membership requirements: a) Initiation fee; b) Monthly dues plus minimum dining; 3) Any favorable determination of an application for membership under this category “Friends of the University Club,” requires a unanimous vote of approval by the Board of Directors then present and voting. 4) Members of this category shall not exceed 5% of total membership of The Club.

Legacy Membership -- A Legacy Member is defined as: (1) any person who is the son or daughter of a current or former University Club member; (2) The prospective member should be able to prove a direct family relationship to a current or previous member of the University Club. The prospective member must demonstrate a strong commitment and continued support to NC State University and the University Club.
Entrance Fee: $2,000
Non-Resident Membership---This membership category includes any member of the University Club or applicant who otherwise qualifies for membership who resides or relocates outside a 50-mile radius from the University Club. The dues for non-resident members are one half of the regular monthly dues. Non-resident members are exempt from the quarterly food minimum.

Members Who Wish To Re-Join---The entrance fee for former members who left in good standing is $500 and monthly dues, construction fees, and quarterly dining minimums do apply. To qualify members must have at least a 12 (twelve) month leave of absence. If a member wishes to re-join before the twelve-month period the member is responsible for the back dues and construction fee from the date of membership termination. The construction fee for rejoining members is $50 per month.
Inactivate Membership Category---This membership category was designed to assist members in times of special circumstances. This category allows members to suspend their membership for an indefinite period with no monthly dues, construction fees, or quarterly food minimums. During this period the membership will be suspended and the member ship number will be invalid.
If the membership is reactivated before the end of a twelve-month period, the member will be responsible for the payment of all back dues and construction fees during the period they were inactive. Members who reactivate after a twelve-month leave of absence are responsible for a $200 reactivation fee. After which monthly dues, construction fees, and quarterly food minimums apply. The construction fee for reactivating members is $50 per month.
Honorary Membership--- The Board of Directors, by unanimous vote of approval then present and voting can allow for an honorary membership. This membership is excluded from paying an entrance fee or monthly dues. These members will be required to pay all dining and event charges that are incurred at the club.
